Alternating Wednesdays
It is our plan to shift to in person instruction for alternating cohorts on Wednesdays starting on February 24, 2021. Wednesdays will be a half day for students. Each school will dismiss at their normal half day dismissal time. Specific details about each school's schedule for Wednesday's will be sent out by the building principals as we get closer to February 24th.
Our community has moved into the yellow designation on the DPH dashboard, which means our public health data is moving in the right direction. In order to start the alternating Wednesdays, the communities public health data must continue to trend in a positive direction. Thank you to all of you who have diligently followed all of the health and safety protocols to decrease the community spread of the virus in our community! Let's stay positive and test negative!
Lynnfield Community Schools Child Care Programs
- The Remote Learning Care Program will adapt to the new hybrid schedule which includes the alternating Wednesdays. We will continue to provide remote learning care to both cohorts on their alternating weeks. This is also a great opportunity for families with students on the waiting list for Wednesdays to be able to participate in the program since the current registrations will change. Once the start date is set, the LCS office will adjust registrations to reflect the change.
- We are developing a LEDS program on Wednesdays to accommodate child care needs for the cohorts on their alternating weeks. This will begin at the end of the school day and follow the current option of a 4pm, 5pm, or 6pm pick-up.
- If you have any questions, feel free to contact the LCS office by phone 781-334-5814 or email lcs@lynnfield.k12.ma.us.
INTERFACE Referral Service
As a reminder, in partnership with the Town of Lynnfield, A Healthy Lynnfield, and the Lynnfield Public Schools, the INTERFACE Referral Service is available to our families. This is a confidential and free service for all Lynnfield residents that helps connects residents across the lifespan to outpatient mental health services.
