What's Up!

Dear Staff,

The Social Committee (Karras, Monica, Sharon, Stephanie and Suzanne) met today and we came up with some ideas for the rest of the school year.

We need your input for:

1) Volunteer Tea at the end of the year. Now that Susie Shea is not with us we need a creative theme! Maybe our 20th Birthday Celebration?

2) Date and location for the End of the Year Party. If you are willing to let us use your house we would love it.

Be sure to share your ideas with any member on the committee.

Meals for Francesca Vacarino's Family

Don't know if you heard, but Francesca's husband was in a bad bicycle accident during our Holiday Break. He suffered a concussion, a few broken bones and a few days in the hospital. The good news he is mending. A sign up sheet is in the lounge to provide meals for the family. Place your meal in the nurse's refrigerator with her name on it and she will pick it up when she gets the boys.

TGIP (Thank Goodness it's Payday) Happy Hour

On January 31st we will have a Happy Hour at Burlap in Carmel Valley. They have great Happy Hour prices on drinks and appetizers. Meet there at 4pm or be square.

Secret Pals

The week of February 11-15 we will have secret pals. More details to follow. It won't be expensive and it will be a fun week. We will culminate the week with a Soup and Salad Bar.

Soup and Salad Bar

When: Friday February 15, hosted by staff working in 4th, 5th, 6th grade and Special Ed. There will be a sign up sheet in the lounge. Later in the year, we will have another luncheon hosted by K, 1st, 2nd and 3rd and office staff. Support Staff, you can sign up for either one. For this event we are asking you to look in your cupboards for paper products (doesn't matter if it is Halloween, Easter or 4th of July- we are trying economize!!), plates, bowls, utensils, napkins and cups. Send these to Sharon (with your name on it incase we get a lot and we need to return it you) for inventory.

We are always looking for fun things to do, so don't hesitate to make a suggestion!
