Tim Berners-Lee was well known for inventing 'The World Wide Web'. He was born in London, one of four children to Mary Lee Woods and Conway Berners-Lee. His parents worked on the first commercially-built computer, the Ferranti Mark 1. He attended Sheen Mount Primary School, and then went on to attend south west London's independent Emanuel School from 1969 to 1973
He received a knighthood in 2004 from Queen Elizabeth II
He was born on 8th June 1955 in London.
He was one of Time Magazine’s ‘100 Most Important People of the 20th Century’.
