FSC Principal's Update
March 11, 2022
I can't believe it is Spring Break. This year has been busy and time really has gone by quickly. I hope all of you get a chance to relax a little bit over the next week. Fourth quarter starts when we return so we will be in the stretch run. The end of the year gets crazy with many events and celebrations; I am looking forward to celebrating our students with you.
Graduation is on May 26th, rain or shine. Hopefully we will be on the football field like last year. If it is outside, we will not limit the number of tickets. If it rains, the ceremony will move to the gymnasium. Inside, we will have to limit graduates to 7 tickets each. I hope this information helps as you are making plans for the special event!
If you have any questions, please reach out.

Staff Spotlight (Shannon Cleghorn)
Hi! I’m Shannon Cleghorn, one of the two Spanish teachers at Finneytown Secondary Campus. My family and I lived in Finneytown for over 10 years and recently moved, but still in Springfield Township. My daughter, Hope, graduated from Finneytown in 2021 and my son, JT, is currently a sophomore here. I LOVE our community!
I have been happily married for 25 years to my husband John. Besides our kids, we have 5 dogs and 7 ducks. This spring we plan to add goats to our family. We love the idea of living sustainably, recycling, repurposing, composting and We have 6 raised bed gardens and are adding more this year. The documentary, “Biggest Little Farm” is one of my favorite movies and inspirations as we create our own little farm. Our family also owns a food truck, Jon Jon’s BBQ, that we open April-October. This will be our 8th season, so make sure to look for the big orange food truck all around Cincinnati.
Besides teaching, working on our little farm and on the truck, I am the dean of Ebenezer house and one of the Garden Club faculty advisors. I love Finneytown and our school community! Feel free to stop by room 206 and visit me.
