What does a Health inspector do/ duties
A health inspector goes to restaurants and make sure that everything is pretty well under control and the food and the restaurant environment is safe for everyone. They make sure that the food is safe for consumption, and the work environment and social environment is safe. It's mainly about protecting the people form disease and bacteria and for people to be safe.
Duties:
- they check sanitary conditions
- Health codes
- Make reports
- They make follow up appointments
- Evaluate their data
Work hours
It really depends on the day and the restaurant, because one restaurant could take a couple of days, another could take one day. Which means they might have to work on weekends to get into some stores. They might have to travel back and fourth, and in some cases travel a ways.

You will mainly work by yourself most of the time, sometimes, depending on the job, you will have someone else. But mainly by yourself.
What can you expect to work with?
Expect being in restaurants a lot and trying food looking at the kitchen to make sure it is safe, dining area to make sure it is safe for people.
How is it gonna be?
You are gonna be on your feet a lot, not a lot of rest, also you will have to get use to telling people no and being brute with the people and 100% honest.

The big question whats the pay?
usually health inspectors start off with a pay of 33,640, to 56,066 dollars a year. The most a health inspector can make, so like the top 10%, can make up to 66,275 a year. But you can boost your pay if you go back to school and get your masters and how many years you work.
