Director of Special Education Finalists Announced
Myra (Desha) Bierbaum
Desha is currently the Instructional Coach at Kathryn Senor Elementary. She taught at the elementary levels in both Garfield District 16 and Garfield Re-2. She is a former Assistant Principal at Bea Underwood Elementary in Parachute and former Principal at Wamsley Elementary. She holds Doctor of Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Master of Arts in Instruction and Curriculum from Lesley University.
Julie Goldberg
Julie is currently an Adjunct Professor at Colorado Mountain College Vail Valley and an Educational Consultant and Educational Evaluator. She is the former Director of Special Education for Eagle County Schools and Roaring Fork School District. She holds a Masters in Art in Educational Leadership, a Principal License K-12, and a Director of Special Education License all from Adams State University.

Featured curriculums will be: TeachTown - Exceptional Solutions for Exceptional Students Serving People with Disabilities, Unique n2y, Functional Academic Curriculum for Exceptional Students (F.A.C.E.S.) Instructional Resources
Audience: Colorado River BOCES member districts or schools within our region who work with students with academic and adaptive learning needs.
Dinner will be provided.
