St. Columba Catholic School - News every Friday - 2/19/21

St. Columba Families,

I must say that my highlight of the week was definitely Ash Wednesday. It was absolutely wonderful to have so many family members join us for Mass. It was been a while since we have had such a large number of parents join us for a school Mass.

After discussing, I would like to let all parents know, that you are all welcome to join your child at ANY of our weekly Masses. The more parents and family members that can join our students for Mass, the better! We would love to continue seeing you join us.

On a separate note, some of you may have noticed that the campus was a little empty or that car line moved a little faster this week. That will continue to be the same next week. Our middle schoolers are engaging in online learning until March. There were no cases of COVID-19, but due to some scheduling challenges and acting out of caution, we shifted our middle schoolers online this week.

Finally, next week we kick off our BOOK FAIR! Normally, we host this event on campus, but to be as safe as possible, we shifted the book fair online. Instead of 1 week like normal, you will have 2 weeks to purchase books for your children and their teachers. Thank you in advance for your support of our library and our readers!

Here is a look ahead at the upcoming events on campus:

  • Monday, February 22: Book Fair!
  • Tuesday, February 23: Book Fair!
  • Wednesday, February 24: Book Fair!
  • Thursday, February 25: Book Fair!
  • Friday, February 26: 5th Grade Hosts Stations of the Cross (11am); Book Fair!

Blessings,

Mr. Amann
