April is the Month of the Military Child

I hope all of you enjoyed your Spring Break and are enjoying the longer days and sunshine!

Mrs. Henry and the PTO board of Mrs. Fleming, Mrs. Ohm, Mrs. Chipman and Mrs. Hiener have once again been hard at work planning a plethora of events for April to celebrate our students and the Month of the Military Child.

At the suggestion of Mrs. Sutton, PTO has planned for a Skate Night on April 1 to kick off the celebrations and build community. We would love to have you join us to enjoy skating in the gym! Bring your skates or or just come for the pizza and enjoy the evening. PTO will be selling Pizza and drinks. This is a community event and we hope Anderson families come over to enjoy the event as well.

April 15 we will celebrate the Day of the Military Child. This is the day we wear purple in support of our children and families. Our PTO has many ideas and can always use support from volunteers to make this memorable for our students.

Teacher Appreciation week is April 25-29. Be on the lookout for more information from PTO about planned activities and opportunities to recognize our stellar Crawford teachers.

April 29, from 5:00-6:30 we will have the Crawford Carnival, following the base wide parade. This is also meant as a event welcoming the Anderson families to Crawford. Please come, enjoy the carnival and get familiar with the school and staff. We welcome everyone and would love to have airmen and family members volunteer to carry off this very large lift.

Also, be looking out for information from our PTO about grade level donations for the carnival. We will be asking for specific items by grade level and would appreciate you picking up an extra item at the Commissary to help us put this one. More information coming soon!

Also, we will be selling prepaid coupons for carnival events. Be looking for more information on that, as well. Oh! And Bristol's Shave Ice will be in the Commons selling their awesome products! We are so lucky to have so many talented people who are willing to help out.

We are planning to have volunteers set up the game booths and sell the food, so everyone is welcome and invited to volunteer. Many volunteers will be necessary, so if you know a group of airmen or students who would like to help, have them get in touch with the school or PTO. Thank you!

Of course, the entire month of April will host the PTO Month of the Military Child Door Decorating contest! What an excellent way to celebrate our students and families. These will still be up at the Carnival on April 29, so be sure to walk around the building to admire the hard work and creativity of our students and teachers.

Take care and see you in the car line!
