On Thursday evening, OUSD held the 2nd Annual CTE Spring Exhibition at the El Corazon Event Center. OUSD middle and high school students did an amazing job displaying and demonstrating their creativity, skills and talent. Pictured below is Yoseleen. She is a 9th grade student here at ECHS who did an excellent job representing our Auto Systems, Diagnostics, Service and Repair Pathway on Thursday evening.
ECHS offers the following pathways: Design, Visual & Media Arts; Video Production & Managerial Arts; Software Systems Development; Auto Systems, Diagnostics, Service and Repair; and Building Trades & Construction.

Senior Awards Night - June 2, 2022
We will be hosting the Class of 2022 Senior Awards Night this Thursday, June 2nd. On this special evening, we would like to recognize students receiving scholarships, enlisting in the military, and/or receiving the ECHS Seal of Biliteracy. If your student will be receiving a scholarship or enlisting in the military, please let us know! You can contact Ms. Caitlin in the College & Career Center at echs.career@oside.us.
Graduation 2022 is Almost Here!
Class of 2022 - Prom & Graduation Products
Prom is taking place Saturday, May 28 from 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM at AV Irvine. Tickets are on sale now! You must have a signed Dance Contract when purchasing tickets. The last day to buy tickets is May 5th unless we sell out prior to that.The countdown to graduation is on!
Caps, gowns, announcements and rings can be ordered via San Diego Graduate Supply. You can order online at www.sdgrad.com or make an appointment to come into our office by calling 619-440-5426. Order Form.
Cap & Gown
Students may order either brown or gold gowns. Honors graduates will be notified and their cap and gown will be swapped for a white cap and gown. Loaner caps and gowns are available for FREE for any student who does not want to purchase a cap & gown. Order online at www.sdgrad.com.
GEAR UP Families (9th & 10th Graders)
News for the Week...
- 2022-23 Evening Registration Opportunity: We would like to invite our current families who have had a change to their student information to attend an evening opportunity here at El Camino in the Main Office on Thursday, June 2nd between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. We will be available to collect documentation related to the change in information. Documents may include record of a change of address, or updated shot or health record. This opportunity is only for those in need of support. All returning students for the 2022-2023 school year will be asked to complete an online data confirmation process at the end of July. Families are welcome to visit our school office for assistance between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. daily.
Student Drop-off & Pick-up: We know that traffic during drop-off and pick-up can be quite congested. We are asking everyone to please be mindful of our surrounding neighbors and ensure that you are not parking in areas that block our neighbors’ personal property or streets to the surrounding neighborhoods. For the safety of our students and staff, we ask that you please follow all traffic rules and be sure not to park in any red zones. Thank you for your assistance in keeping everyone safe!
Tutor.com & NEW In-Person Tutoring Hours for GEAR UP: For all of our 9th and 10th graders, GEAR UP has new tutoring hours and information about how to access tutoring 24/7 through Tutor.com. For more information on these two opportunities for additional support for all 9th and 10th graders, please see the flyers below.
- 2022-23 Changes to Outside Food Deliveries: Starting next school year and beyond, ECHS will be moving to align our policy regarding outside food deliveries to the other OUSD secondary schools. Students will no longer be able to have outside food deliveries to our campus.
