Mrs. Noynaert's Kindergarten Class
Week of October 12, 2015
This Week in Room 508
Thank you so much for all your support for Boosterthon! I was sad to miss the Fun Run on Friday, but I heard the kids had a great time. I am anxious to hear all about it on Tuesday!
We are going to do a mini-unit on apples this week. Please send a red, yellow or green apple to school by Wednesday. Thank you!
Readers' Workshop:
We extended our independent reading stamina to 9 minutes last week! Our reward for reaching 10 minutes is Flashlight Reading! Please feel free to send a flashlight with your child on Wednesday and Thursday to use during this time.
Writers' Workshop:
We will continue discussing the conventions of writing this week through personal narratives:
1. Sentences begin with a capital.
2. Put spaces between words.
3. Use a period, question mark or exclamation mark at the end of a sentence.
Math Workshop:
We will be working on counting and representing sets to 20.
