Hello LVES Families! The character trait for the month of April is Integrity. Having integrity means doing what you know is right, even if no one is watching, being your best self, resisting peer pressure, and choosing words and actions that are sincere.
The primary source for children to develop integrity is their family. Children are not born with integrity, but family and societal influences are what teach children humility, social responsibility, and the courage to stand up for what they believe is right. It is so important for children to have strong role models in their life in order for them to develop the traits and skills they need to be happy, successful people!
“The strength of a nation derives from the integrity of the home.” ~Confucius
~Confucius

New CDC Guidelines for Fully Vaccinated Persons
Now that vaccinations for Covid are more available, it's good to know how they affect your need to quarantine if exposed to Covid.
People who are fully vaccinated (2 weeks after their last dose in the series) do not need to quarantine after a close contact.
Unlike people who have only a 90 day window of immunity after testing positive, fully vaccinated people are not limited to 90 days.
As it is still early in our vaccination experience, the CDC will continue to evaluate how long the protection lasts, but for now, it is considered ongoing!
Click here for the full guidelines.
