Indiana Youth Institute's Post-Secondary Counseling Institute
The Postsecondary Counseling Institute is an intensive two-day conference designed to give school counselors, mentoring organizations and others who guide youth on their education options after high school the skills and tools they need to help their students explore a wide range of education options after high school, from traditional four-year colleges to apprenticeship programs.
All participants will receive a free digital copy of College Board’s College Counseling SourceBook 7th Edition (a $60 value), and the Community College Counseling Sourcebook, 2nd Edition provided on a USB drive, as well as tons of useful skills to help them better counsel their students.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided on both days.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Month. Do your part in spreading the word about mental health and suicide prevention. Nine out of 10 people at the time of their death had been diagnosed with a mental health condition. Make it your duty to do your part this month (and every month) to spread the word of how it is so very important to reach out to someone who perhaps is struggling in silence, or need help yourself. Mental health is as important as physical health – actually, you can’t have good physical health without good mental health. By drawing more attention to the importance of mental health, we as a society, as a community, as a people Will save lives!

August 26th is the Indiana State Suicide Prevention Conference in Bloomington, Indiana. This year’s conference theme is TAKE ACTION.
