February 2020
What's happening this month...
I hope you all had some fun this Super Bowl weekend, whether or not your team was playing. I enjoyed eating Super Bowl food, being entertained by the commercials, and cheering on both teams (I'm a Broncos fan!).
This month at Conrad, we will be focusing on friendships, working together, and dental health. I want to extend a huge thank you for the partnership we have with our families this year. Our PTO did an amazing job with our Glow Dance during STEAM night. That night was SO much fun, and it was adorable seeing our littles getting their dance moves on! I also saw a lot of creative thinkers throughout the classrooms with the different STEAM activities.
I feel like this month is going to fly by because we have so much going on! Our Seats, Feet, and Diaper drive is coming to a close this Friday. We are super excited about the donations that have come in and all of your support. Thank you!
I'm very excited about our Cooking Matters for Parents Class that begins today (Monday, February 3rd) at 5:00. We have a full class, and we hope to offer this class again in the fall for parents who are returning to Conrad.
On Monday, February 10th, Conrad will participate in their first annual Building Mid Year Review. This is an opportunity for staff, parents, and district administration to come together to discuss current performance with building initiatives for student success, where we hope to be by the end of the school year and next year, and ways to continue to grow. The dialogue and ideas that are generated during this time will help lead the future training and development.
Parent Teacher conferences will be held February 18th-20th. Conferences will be scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18th from 3:00 PM-7:00 PM, Wednesday, Feb. 19th from 10:00 AM-7:00 PM, and Thursday, Feb. 20th from 8:00 AM- 12:00 PM. The district will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17th for Presidents' Day and there will be no school on Friday, Feb. 21st. PTO will be organizing a lunch/dinner Sign Up Genius for Tuesday and Wednesday of conferences. An email should be coming out soon! PTO also has a fundraiser planned for that week with an Art Work Silent Auction. I think you all are going to be pleased with the art work that will be displayed throughout the building during the week. Come prepared to a place a "bid" on your child's artwork by bringing a few coins or dollars.
As you can read, we are going to be busy this month! I look forward to seeing you at the different events and wish you all much love. Happy February!
Hugs,
Stephanie Lee
Preschool Administrator
