"The Monkeys Paw"
Mr. White
Mr. White
Towards the beginning of the story Mr. White is a very curious yet cautious man. He thinks before he reacts, and is a skeptic but a confident man. He has interest in the paw, which later will catch up with him. He is also a concerned father for his wife and son. He cares about his family.
Spoken Words
"What was that you were telling me the other day something about a monkey's paw or something, Morris?"
"And what is there special about it?" inquired Mr. White...
He shook his head, "Never mind, though: there's no harm done, but it gave me a shock all the same."
"It is foolish and wicked," he faltered.
"Don't let it in," cried the old man, trembling.
