SAT School Day-- Wednesday, March 1st

Spoto will host the SAT test on Wednesday, March 1st, for all juniors (and some seniors). It is an EXTREMELY important day for our students. Juniors have the ability to reach the concordant score for the FSA reading and Math benchmarks, establish a reportable score to colleges and universities, and qualify for National Merit Status. Some seniors will take the SAT test as well to reach those same FSA benchmarks.

Our students will have a REGULAR school day with a few modifications.

Wednesday, March 1st is a REGULAR and FULL school day.

The Gentlemen’s Quest Program will provide up to four (4) scholarships for up to $5,000 each to graduating high school seniors who have achieved academically or been faced with serious hardships, including academic challenges, financial restraints, or family adversity. Applicants for the scholarship must be planning to attend a college, university, or trade school.

• DEADLINE for scholarship applications is Monday, March 13, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. (NO EXCEPTIONS).
• Refer to the criteria below for eligibility requirements.
• Refer to the application link below for a list of the supporting documents needed.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered.
• If any question in this application does not apply to you please put N/A in the space.
• Winners will be announced at the upcoming 2023 GQ Awards Gala (June 3, 2023).

Eligibility:

1. Must be an African American or Hispanic male graduating with at least a 2.5 GPA from a high school within Hillsborough County.
2. Must be planning to attend a college, university, trade, or vocational school and can provide proof of acceptance.

Spoto's Prom will take place on Saturday, April 1 from 7 PM to 11 PM at the Regent - 6437Watson Road. Tickets can only be purchased by a Junior or Senior at Spoto High School for $75.00 each. Once you purchase your ticket, you MUST pick it up from Mrs. Mueller in room 210 before or after school.

You may invite an outside guest (19 or under) by filing out and submitting the guest form. Forms are available in Canvas, or you can pick one up in room 210. All forms are to be returned to Mrs. Mueller in room 210 and then be processed by the administration before you will be allowed to purchase the guest ticket. You will receive notification once your guest form has been accepted or rejected. At that time, you will be allowed to purchase your guest ticket.
