Meet our Staff
Lauren Bartelli-VP Counselor
Meet our Counselor, Lauren Bartelli. Lauren graduated from Esperanza High School in 2010, where she was on the Dance and Song Teams as well as ASB. Lauren attended the University of Mississippi, known as OLE MISS, and majored in Business Marketing with an Emphasis on Public Relations. She wanted to be an Event Planner until she planned several weddings and decided that her passion was helping kids. She returned to school to get her Masters in Educational Counseling and PPS Credential at Azusa Pacific, where she graduated in 2018. After graduation, she started working in Anaheim at Learn4Life Charter School as a school counselor. Lauren joined the VP Family in Fall of 2021 as a School Counselor and Director of our Well Space. She is currently pursuing a second Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy to better her skills to serve our students in the Well Space. We are so fortunate to have such a passionate and talented counselor as a part of our Spartan Family!
Ed Corbett-VP Band Director
Meet our Band Director Extraordinaire, Ed Corbett. Ed is VPHS graduate class of 2014. In high school Ed was a proud member of the March 'N Spartans, as well as the Jazz and Symphonic Band. He was also a founding member of VP's Science Olympiad. Ed attended California State University Long Beach, where he initially majored in Chemical Engineering until he decided to pursue his passion in Music Education. While at CSULB Ed played in the school's pep and jazz band. He also played in a few bands for fun. His go-to instrument is the saxophone, although he can play most instruments. He says, "It's not what I can play, it's what I can't-- I am pretty bad at drums." Ed graduated from CSULB in 2018 and returned to get his Teaching Credential. Ed started assisting the VPHS Band in 2016 and took over as the Band Director in Fall of 2020. His favorite memory from VP is playing at the Senior Blowout Assembly his senior year and the Band trip to University of Arizona. We are incredibly grateful that Ed returned home to Villa Park, Spartan for Life!
