Community Health Network Foundation
I can’t thank the Community Health Network Foundation enough for all they do for us. Besides the money they give us each year for our Students in Need Fund, (well over a thousand dollars), the ten Stop The Bleed kits cost over one thousand dollars. That is going above and beyond for children!
WillSub
Amy Sigler sets the WillSub calendar based upon our present school calendar. When days are added, that were originally days out of school, Amy has to go in the program and adjust the calendar. Amy gets that calendar readjusted the next business day.
You will then be able to put any kind of leave request that is needed on a day that was originally a vacation day. Just a reminder that personal days may not be used to extend a vacation.
Count Day
February first is count day. I have placed your class list in the wire basket outside your room. Please mark the appropriate column. Attend means they are a member of your class, not that they are present that day. Doesn’t attend is for students who have withdrawn. Please turn them into Audra before the end of the day with your signature on the bottom.
Literacy in a STEM World
eLEAD will not take place this summer. A new one day workshop is taking its place. Literacy in a STEM World, will be held on June 18. It will take place at Pendleton Heights Middle School. I hope all of you are able to attend. More information is forthcoming.

Three A's
This simple, yet effective strategy helps students feel listened to, important, and helps build community.
Want to see it in action? Check out the video https://www.edutopia.org/video/60-second-strategy-appreciation-apology-aha
While the video shows older students embracing this model, it could easily be done with students of any age.
How are you building a community in your classroom?
“A group becomes a team when each member is sure enough of himself and his contribution to praise the skills of others." – Norman Shidle
