Our after-school Activity programs are starting Tuesday,October 17,2023
Hello,
Our after-school programs are starting next week, Tuesday, October 17th! Please see the attached list of clubs that we will offer this year. The Activity Card fee is $50 per student. This year, we will be collecting fees using the "MySchoolBucks" platform. This is the same program that handles our bus registration and payment. Please see attached registration information if you do not already have an account.
The $50 dollar activity fee allows students to take full advantage of any clubs they wish to attend. The after-school activities run from 2:30-3:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday throughout the year. All students also have the option of taking a late bus home. The routes are posted in the school and will not be posted publicly. We will work with students and the drivers to be sure kids take the correct bus home. Since we only have 8 late buses, the stops tend to be more spread out than the “regular” bus runs. Students being picked up after activities will exit through the main lobby doors and can be picked up there.
*Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with questions, or if we can assist with an activity card for your child.
Regards,
Jeff

picture retake day thursday november 9,2023
Students who wish to have a RETAKE need to simply return their original package to the photographer. Students with Retakes do not need to complete a new order form.
Students who were photographed for school service but did not purchase a portrait package are not eligible for retakes unless their eyes were closed or there was a technical flaw in the original portrait. We appreciate your cooperation with this, as it will prevent students from coming to the camera who do not need to be photographed again.Parents please call our office if you submitted a late order and haven't received the package yet.
Medication should be given by the nurse
Good afternoon,
Just a reminder to parents that home medication should not be sent to school with students, the health office is well equipped to medicate, and can call home or work with families for specific needs. Students should not take medication unsupervised at school.
Thank you,

What's for breAKFEAST & Lunch ?
Lunch/Cafeteria Reminder:
Lunch/Cafeteria Reminder:
Our school is considered to be "nut aware" and not nut free. Although nuts are allowed, no students are permitted to share food in the building. It is also considered best practice not to have students bring in shelled peanuts for the safety of others. It is important for students to understand that if they are bringing in nut products, they cannot share them regardless of whether the other student is allergic or not. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that no student experiences an anaphylactic response and we can help prevent those events together.
While we have these discussions with students throughout the day, it would be helpful and appreciated if you would address this at home as well.

Dear 8th grade ,
On October 27th, students will have the opportunity to tour Nashoba while they are in session and see what it looks like to be a student there. We will leave around 8:30am and should return to school around 11:00am. This field trip is for interested students only. Anyone who attends is expected to make up all the work they miss in their morning classes. Permission slips will go out after the presentation next week.

CPS BUS REGISTRATION
BUS REGISTRATION INFORMATION
All students are required to register every year if they would like to ride the bus, even if they do not need to pay a fee. If all students register to ride the bus, the district has more accurate student/rider data, therefore bus routes may be established with better efficiency and on-time performance. The determination of a fee or no fee is based on the grade of the student and the mileage between home and school. Please click link for more information on bus registration. https://chelmsfordschools.org/departments/transportation/
