This week's special message comes to you from our Assistant Principal, Mr. Mongold!
Parents, gather your children around the computer and check out a special message from Mr. Mongold. His video is jammed packed with not only an update of how he spends his day (Hello Dusty Dog), but also includes some interesting artwork, singing (please, don''t give up your day job!), exercising, reading and finally a message to parents on what to expect when you pick up your child's belongings.

General Announcements:
Watch D.O.G.S.
We want to send out a big thank you to our Watch D.O.G.S. dads that came out and supported us in various ways this year. Thank you for all of your help, from working with small groups, to assisting in the cafeteria, to helping with spring pictures, to helping to monitor school safety. Your assistance is truly appreciated. We look forward to having you join us again next year.
Rotary Code of Ethics Winners
We would like to congratulate Lila Dunham and Jeremy Reyes Bautista. They are the recipients of this year’s Rotary Code of Ethics Award for Peak View Elementary School. The award ceremony took place through a Zoom meeting on May 11th. They both students have been active in the school, serving as kindergarten helpers. Lila was in Ms. Combs’s class, and was noted as always being willing to lend a helping hand to others. Jeremy, from Mr. Kirk’s homeroom, is noted as a student that can always be trusted with any responsibility.
Student Belonging Pick-Up Procedure/Schedule
Here are the procedures for picking up your student’s belongings. It is set up similar to the food pick-up system that the county schools have been using in an effort to maximize safety. You will be asked to stay in your vehicle at all times during the process. Remember, you can only pick up materials for your child. If you have children in multiple grade levels, you may pick up all of their belongings at the same time.
Follow the signs directing you to the bus parking area
A staff member will ask for the names of the students you are picking up materials for
Your child’s belongings will be brought out to a table at the other end of the bus canopy
When directed by a staff member, you will pull up to that table, and pick up your child’s belongings from your driver’s side window
If you have any library books, please place them in the box labeled library return on the next table
If you have any materials that need to be returned to a teacher, please put them in a ziploc bag labeled with the teacher’s name in the box labeled teacher return
Follow the signs to exit the parking lot
