Night of Service: Sock Roll Challenge
Who? Titus students and families
What? A “Sock Roll” is a pair of men’s athletic /crew socks that is rolled with a granola bar and a pack of crackers and finished off with a ribbon and a tag from our students.
Where? Titus Elementary Dining Room
Why? Socks tend to be the number one requested item by individuals experiencing homelessness. This project brings warmth, some comfort and nourishment for those in need. This is also a wonderful opportunity to teach our children the importance of helping others and ‘giving back’ to our community.
When? Thursday, January 19th at 6:30 PM
In an effort to collect items before the January 19th event, we are asking your child/children to bring their items to school beginning, January 3, 2017. All donations will be dropped off in the rotunda
- Grades K – 2 will be collecting cheese crackers
- Grades 3 – 4 will be collecting granola bars
- Grades 5 – 6 will be collecting adult men’s crew socks
Any questions or if you would like to help out with this event. Please contact Mrs. Patty Van Zanten.Thank you for your support in this cause.

Box Tops Are Heating Up the Winter Months!
Thank you to all the students who brought in box tops last month. For the month of December, we collected 1,977 Box Tops! Congratulations to Mrs. Scherr's 5th grade class for sending in the highest number with 322!
***Box Tops Special Alert*** For the month of January and February, we will be doing a Make Your Own Sundae contest. How it works is:
For every 10 box tops a class brings in, they will receive a ticket in a raffle box.
At the end of February, we will draw a winning ticket out of the raffle box.
The class that has the winning ticket will receive an Ice Cream Sundae Party!
