Welcome Mesa Verde's New Principal

After five successful years as Assistant Principal of Rancho Bernardo High School, Kellie Moore comes to Mesa Verde Middle School to serve as Principal. Ms. Moore has dedicated over 10 years to student well-being and readiness at the secondary level in both PUSD and the Coronado Unified School District. As an administrator, she oversaw implementation of and adherence to student intervention plans, school-wide equity and restorative justice practices, professional development goals, and site and department budgets. In addition to this, Ms. Moore also oversaw development of standards-based curricula, created school marketing materials, and spearheaded engaging extra-curricular opportunities for students. She plans to further the work Mesa Verde is doing in all these categories, as well. You can learn a little bit more about her at the beginning of the Parent Zoom Meeting linked below.

Clarification - Disinfecting Wipes

We received confirmation this afternoon (8/13) about the types of wipes that students can and cannot bring to school to wipe down surfaces. Students should not bring disinfectant wipes or any products to school that a) may cause adverse reactions in others, b) contain regulated chemicals, or c) require additional training if an adult was to have the product. Unscented natural baby wipes are an example of an acceptable product. If parents wish to donate wipes to the school or to their child's classroom, please contact the school for examples of acceptable wipes.
