Kindergarten Update

March 21, 2016

Welcome Back!

It's hard to believe that today was the first day of the fourth quarter...time flies when you're having fun! It will be a busy quarter as we infuse more technology into our learning, participate in the spring MAP testing, enjoy two more field trips, participate in field day fun, and enjoy the yearbook-signing celebration. I'm sure I've left a few events off the list! Of course, you'll receive notice of these events as the time approaches.

Last Week's Fun (actually two weeks ago)!

*The sight words "me" and "too" were introduced.

*We practiced determining the number of tens and ones in numbers.

*We continued our study of force and motion in science.

*We concluded our study of Mo Willems and his work.

*We had a great time using Tellagami to tell about our favorite Mo Willems books. We were lucky to have our third grade buddies from Mrs. Haas's class to help us! Be sure to check out the creations on Edmodo!

This Week's Fun...

*The sight words "come," "from," and "has" will be introduced.

*We'll finish our work on composing and decomposing numbers 11-19 and begin working on measuring weight, length, and capacity in math.

*We'll continue to study force and motion in science.

*We will review and fine-tune personal narrative writing.

*Mrs. Rosewicz will begin presenting lessons dealing with personal safety.
