Testable question: How does the type of circuit affect the strand of Christmas light with a burned out bulb?
Iv: type of circuit
DV: number of light bulbs
Hypothesis: If the Christmas lights are arranged in a parallel circuit then when 1 bulb bursts (is removed) the other bulbs will continue to light up.
I noticed that the electrons moved very quickly in the parallel circuit.
I noticed that when you remove a bulb the other bulbs still light up.
Testable question: How does the type of circuit affect the strand of Christmas light with a burned out bulb?
IV: Series Circuit
DV: number of light bulbs
Hypothesis: If the Christmas lights are arranged in a series circuit then when 1 bulb bursts (is removed) the other bulbs wont light up.
I noticed that the electrons moved very slow.
I noticed the when you remove a bulb in the series circuit the other bulbs will not light up.
A parallel circuit is the best series to use for Christmas lights because if one light bulb bursts the electricity can take another path to reach the other bulbs.
