Dental Education

This week we were visited by a dental hygienist who taught about good brushing and flossing habits. The students know brushing, flossing, eating healthy foods, and visiting the dentist will help them keep a healthy smile.

This week we learned about place value to the hundredth place. Below the students are working on a partner game called "Race to 100." The students earned "ones" and traded them in for "tens" and eventually traded in "tens" for a "hundred."

If your student is needing help with this concept here is great site that you can work on together! Click here.

Also, the students are encouraged to work on math facts over Spring Break. For a fun game click here.

Writers Workshop

This week we concluded our unit on learning to write, "How To" stories. In this unit we learned how to write with clear and orderly steps. We learned that "How To" stories tell the read exactly what to do! Below the students are making and writing, "How to make Chocolate Milk." Other "How To" topics were doing a cartwheel, dribbling a basketball, play tag, swimming, and many more!
