What is Blood Doping

The injection of oxygenated blood into an athlete before an event in an attempt to enhance athletic performance. Athletes do this because you get more red blood cells which gives you more oxygen, and ATP. By your body having more oxygen and ATP it enables you to be able to work longer without losing your breathe. By having more oxygen and being able to breath better it enhances your energy.

What is Cellular Respiration

The process of using oxygen to break down glucose into more cellular energy (ATP), which enhances performance levels. Respiration is one of the key ways a cell gains useful energy to fuel cellular activity.

How Should This Issue be Addressed in the NFL

Blood Doping should be illegal along with all enhancing drugs. Nothing about blood doping is fair. It takes away from the realness of the sport and your natural performance is altered. The only enhancer that should be legal is sleeping high and training low. That should be legal because all you are doing is training whereas if you are taking drugs that is not a natural way to become faster and stronger. Also everyone is able to sleep high and train low. It’s affordable an affordable way for every athlete to train. In the NFL, steroids, blood doping, and elevation sleeping trainers are illegal. If the athletes are caught using these things, they will be suspended. If they are caught again, they will not be allowed to compete in the NFL again. To insure the athletes are following rules, we will randomly drug test them, looking for steroids. Also, we will run blood tests to make sure nothing is abnormal about their blood count. We will hire supervisors to be checking in on the athletes. The reason we are going to be coming down so hard on the athletes using drugs is because they should be performing with their natural self ability and we don’t condone cheating. All of their hard work in high school and college will be thrown away once they make it into the NFL because they’ll resort to drugs to make the sport easier.
