Dear Students
I am so sad that I must say 'good-bye' to this community we have built together, but I am so proud of how much you've achieved and grown throughout these past few months. Thank you for all your smiles, laughs, and hard work. For all your character, heart, and spirit.
Thank you for your kindness and patience with me.
This was my first year at a new school as a brand new teacher. You will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for keeping me on my feet while allowing me grow as an educator by being excited about learning new things. You exceeded my expectations and showed me that you are all capable of thinking critically, having your own opinions, and taking charge of your own learning as students of the 21st century. I will never forget the lessons you have taught me because you have made me a better teacher.
Thank you for reminding me about what's important.
I watched as you tackled difficult tasks and projects. I am so impressed by how you eager you were to learn about our history, about new technology, and new ways of exploring mathematics. We solved our problems together and made each other better human beings.
I hope that you graduate from the 4th grade understanding the world a little bit better. I hope that we uncovered new questions for you to explore in the future. Never stop learning. Ever. I will always be here for you if you ever need me, and I look forward to seeing you grow into the leaders of our future.
Always be safe, responsible, and respectful in your choices and actions. Read. Read. Read. Go outside and enjoy the sun. Remember that kindness and acceptance will always get you a lot further than meanness or judgement. May you be happy, healthy, peaceful, and strong.
Love always,
Mrs. Andrews
