Parents Needed!
Updates!
*If you send money for ice cream on Fridays, please attach a note to it with the name of your child to help us keep track of who it belongs to!
*Please remember to bring back library books on FRIDAYS.
*Thank you for remembering to dress them in tennis shoes for P.E. this week!!
*If you are wondering why they have math homework, but no reading homework, it is because we have a school-wide homework policy that they are required to read 15-20 minutes every day.
READING TIP OF THE WEEK!
These are examples of STEPPING STONE words (sight words) . These are often words that we just have to know. When students come to these words in text they are often hard to sound out. However, if they practice them, it will help them grow as readers. We will have different words every week. I would suggest going and getting index cards. Writing the words and using them like flash cards. Or use post it notes as a game placing them on the cabinet…etc. I can’t express how important these words are to know by sight. Our students read, cheer and understand how these stepping stone words are used in text. Please help your child with these every day.
