What are G.R.A.P.E.S. ?
G.R.A.P.E.S. is an acronym with aspects that each country on Earth has which are Geography, Religion, Achievements, Politics, Economics, and Style of Living. This website will show you the G.R.A.P.E.S. of one country called Norway.
Geography
Norway is located in Northern Europe. Norway has various land forms which are plateaus, mountains, scattered plains, and fertile valleys. Norway's climate is typically wet and cold, but even colder in it's tundra area.
Religion
Norway has various religions. The most practiced religion in Norway is Lutheran Protestant which was started by a monk who went against the Roman Catholic church because of his beliefs. Other religions in Norway is Islam and other forms of Christianity.
Achievements
Here's a fun fact, did you know Norway once ruled over 3 other countries?! Those countries were Shetland, Greenland, and Iceland. Also, did you know Norway is the 2nd richest country in the world. This achievement was probably a great factor of Norway winning the most votes for best country in the world to live in.
Politics
Norway's government system is a Monarchy, which means the country is ruled by a king or a queen. But even though the King or Queen rules most of the country, there are Prime Ministers in charge too. Norway's current king is Harold V.
Economy
Like I said in the achievements paragraph, Norway's a pretty good country to live in. It's the 2nd richest country in the world, and voted the best place to live in by the U.N. If I had to live in another country, I would want to live in Norway. The economy in Norway is doing fine because it isn't facing any big problems. The only problems they face are a small population of their country being addicted to alcohol and drugs. Some popular jobs Norway are construction, tourism, shipbuilding, retail, and nursing.
Style of Living
Finally, the last of the G.R.A.P.E.S., Style of Living. Style of Living is basically and simply, what Norway's people's life is like. Norwegians mostly live in big wooden houses. Also, did you know most Norwegians eat 4 meals a day?! That's one more meal we eat in America! Norwegians regularly eat fish, vegetables, and fried potatoes for any meal besides break fast. Some hobbies in Norway are folk dancing and sports. The sports Norwegians play are Skiing, Ice Skating, and Soccer.
