Chemistry
Josh Espino
Career Description
Chemistry is the study of matter and the physical and chemical change of substances. The branch of science that deals with the identification of the substances of which matter is composed of, also the investigation of their properties and the ways that they interact, change, and combine. The use of these processes to form new substances. Design chemical plant equipment and devise processes for manufacturing chemicals and products by applying principles and technology of chemistry, physics, and engineering
The Nucleus: Crash Course Chemistry #1
Duties And Responsibility
working closely with process chemists and control engineers to ensure the process plant is set up to provide maximum output levels and efficient running of the production facility, designing plant and equipment configuration so that they can be readily adapted to suit the product range and the process technologies involved, taking environmental and economic aspects into account, instituting scale-up and scale-down processes including appropriate changes to equipment design and configuration, assessing options for plant expansion or reconfiguration by developing and testing process simulation models, designing, installing and commissioning new production plants, including monitoring developments and troubleshooting, optimising production by analysing processes and compiling de-bottleneck studies, applying new technologies, ensuring that potential safety issues related to the project operator, the environment, the process and the product are considered at all stages.
Cool Careers: Chemical Engineer
Education Requirements
Chemical engineers must have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Employers also value practical experience, so cooperative engineering programs, in which students earn college credit for structured job experience, are good too.
Job Outlook
The importance of chemistry on the list of jobs is roughly about 90% out of 100%.
Since everything that takes up space is made out of matter, chemistry is very important because it is the study of matter so it will be a very high demand job and has been for many years
Salary And Work Environment
The average annual salary is from $110,000 to $150,000 with only a bachelors degree.
the conditions are safe but yet hazardous…. if something goes wrong it goes really wrong there is no medium bad there is just really bad and it can be fatal to most of the people in the facility but if it goes good it can be life changing for many people
