K.W.1 Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose opinion pieces in which they tell a reader the topic of the name of the book they are writing about and state an opinion or preference about the topic or book
Reading Workshop
This week we finished our work with cause and effect and finding relationships in the text. Good readers find relationships in the stories in order to better understand the text. We read The Bad Case of Stripes, Press Here, and I Can Help in addition to finding cause and effect relationships in our own books.
K.RL.1 With prompting and support, ask and answer questions about key details in a text
K.RL.7 With prompting and support, describe the relationship between illustrations and the story in which they appear
