Words of Wisdom

"If each man or woman could understand that every other human life is as full of sorrows, or joys, or base temptations, of heartaches and of remorse as his own . . . how much kinder, how much gentler he would be."

~William Allen White

In our day-to-day living, how easy it can be to forget that each of us suffers our own sorrows, temptations, heartaches, and remorse.

No one is exempt from the struggles of life. Each one – regardless of skin color, circumstance, or faith – carries burdens others may not see. Most likely there isn’t one human being in our community today who isn’t hurting in at least some small way and could benefit from some kindness. Will you be the one who offers it?

Winter Concert Announcement

We are excited to announce our 2022 Winter Concert performance. Students in Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades will perform with ourMiddle and High school music students.

Date: Thursday December 15th at 6pm.

Please have your child to school by 5:45 and bring them to the RGA.

Their teacher will have a sign for each class, and they will sit with their class until it is their turn to perform. Students do not need to wear their school uniform, they may dress in their finest attire!

You may then find a seat in the RGA and wait for the show to begin! The concert should last an hour. Once finished you may pick up your child from their teacher and go home to celebrate their excellent performance!

Your children have been working very hard to prepare concert music. We are excited to share our music with you! Please feed your child a good meal and make sure they drink plenty of water before the performance.

Please email me if your child cannot attend the concert.

kate.mattson@cpapk12.org

I look forward to seeing you at the show! Thank you for supporting our music program and your child’s musical growth. I am very proud of each and every student!

Sincerely,

Ms. Kate Mattson

Picture Retake Day is Dec 1!

CPA's Picture Retake Day is on Thursday December 1. Families can order photos using the instructions on the envelope that was sent home with students, or families can order online by visiting mylifetouch.com and entering Picture Day ID EVTQ4P4W3. All students will have their picture taken, regardless of whether the family orders pictures. Students who did not get their photo taken on November 1 will get their picture taken on December 1.

If your student is needing to have their picture retaken, they may come in the attire for that photo. Please keep in mind the policy for non-uniform days.

Photos Needed!

Staff, students, and families! Ms. Michalak would love to have your best photos for the CPA yearbook!

If you have pics of CPA students in action, please share them! Think class projects, field trips, athletics, dances, and more. Ms. Michalak didn't become the yearbook editor until after the fall sports seasons, so we especially need soccer and volleyball photos.

Please email photos to kimm@cpapk12.org and include date, names, and grades. Thanks for supporting the CPA yearbook!

Weather & Clothing

As we know, Minnesota weather can change quickly, and this time of year we see drastic swings in temperature and other weather issues. Please make sure your child has appropriate clothing to be comfortable and safe throughout the day, including at arrival, recess, and dismissal. Thank you!

School Pay

Are you looking for an easier way to make payments at school? Create a SchoolPay account!

SchoolPay accounts make it easier to process any payments you need to make to the school, athletics department, or cafeteria. Families can complete the application for free and reduced price lunch through School Pay, and families who receive free or reduced price lunch can also print their determination letter, which can be used to receive discounts at museums, MTC, and more!

Visit the CPA website to learn more and get started!
