Second Grade & Multi-Age Field Trip 11/28
Second Grade
Mrs. Sanchez and her students had a blast on their field trip to the Kellogg House. On their tour, students participated in multiple hands-on activities like washing clothes with a foot-cranked washing machine and making homemade butter the old fashioned way. They really got a feel for what life was like at the turn of the century!
Multi-Age
Miss Milloy and the Multi-Age students explored many exhibits as they adventured throughout Bowers Museum. Their favorite stop was at the "First Californians" installation showcase. The children viewed Bower's permanent collection of Native American art and artifacts in stone, shell, plant fibers, and feathers. They even had the experience of weaving their own baskets!
Multi-Age PBL
Our Multi-Age students showcased their PBL projects today in the MPR. Each student was required to create a colony based on research they have done on colonial America. They were so creative and came up with some very unique ideas. Some students created commercials, PowerPoints, and much more. A round of applause to Miss Milloy's class!

Citizen of the Month Awards 11/30
On Friday, November 30th, we will hold our Citizen of the Month awards at 8am on the yard.
Throughout the month of November, students will learn what it means to display gratitude; the readiness to show appreciation and to remember what you have with a thankful heart. Each student votes for someone in their class who has displayed these qualities and believes they should be recognized.
Be sure to ask your child about how they can show gratitude. Each month, AMA will focus on a different trait based off the 7 habits of effective leaders.
December's trait will focus on self-discipline.
All Citizen of the Month Awards are formal dress days.
