Family Of The Month
The DelPorto Family
"From the minute we left the tour after our first visit to The Learning Cottage, we knew we had found the perfect fit for our family and baby girl. Our experience with the school and the entire staff has been nothing short of amazing both educationally and on a personal level. As parents, to know that our daughter is loved, safe, happy, educationally stimulated and cared for every day is a wonderful feeling and we could not be happier with our choice."
DelPorto Family, your daily words of kindness, your support and your love for everyone and everything on our campus can easily be seen in Charlie's interactions as well! Thank you for fostering such a beautiful, trusting and loving relationship between your family and our family! Most importantly, thank you for supporting Charlie's Early Education!
Teacher Of The Month
Ms. Vicky
She moved to Sarasota in 2019 and after exploring a few other schools, her heart landed on our campus. When Ms. Vicky applied to our campus she wrote these amazing words:
"I love and enjoy working with children because it allows us shape hearts, and little minds in a fulfilling way. Children can learn through play when you provide a nurturing safe place for each of them. It is my job to treat them like if they were my own."
And Ms. Vicky... that's exactly what you do! Additionally, Ms. Vicky and Ms. Brittany have an amazing classroom/ team relationship that you can feel immediately when entering their environment.
Thank you Ms. Vicky for choosing The Learning Cottage as your home away from home!

Mosquito Managemet
While we can not by law limit outdoor time and we can not apply mosquito spray, there are things we do for prevention:
- A Summer Partnership with Fahey Pest control specific to Mosquito Management
- We highly encourage using EO's such as Lavender, lemongrass and purification on your little one.
- A playground check list is completed every morning that includes ridding of any sitting water.
- and finally, all mosquito breeding plants were removed from the property 6 years ago :)
Preschool - Kindergarten
Please remember these key things...
We believe in the uniqueness of each individual child. We want to encourage the children to find their own means of self-expression, organic imagination and sense of self. True self-expression is creativity that comes from within the child, not the imitation of stories and characters created.
Children must also have:
- Closed toed shoes
- 2 extra pairs of clothing
