Health Screenings Reminder

• Students must screen daily for COVID-19 symptoms prior to entering a school bus or school. Please refer to the following Daily Health Screening for Students document: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1szg2B0SsPQjf4DFaBPHnizZBq1_gyOdT/view

• Parents or guardians are required to attest to a daily screening on their children at home to ensure they do not have one of the following exclusionary criteria for going to school: • Experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. • Lab-confirmed positive COVID-19 diagnosis • Close contact with an individual with a lab-confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis • If students meet any one of the exclusionary criteria, they must stay home from school. • It will be implied that if a student arrives at school or at a bus stop that the student and parents attest they are free from the exclusionary criteria listed above.

Absence Documentation

When a student is absent from school, the student—upon arrival or return to school—must bring a note signed by the parent that describes the reason for the absence. The note must be turned in within 3 days of the student’s return to school.

Accessing Student Grades Online

Parents please make sure that you are routinely checking your students grades in the Home Access Center (HAC) system. Please remember that TISD has went paperless for Progress Reports and Report Cards. The 2nd 9 weeks Progress Report will be available through the HAC system (Monday) 11-16-2020. The 21st Century learner is growing up in a world surrounded by technology. Out of the thousands of resources available, our goal is to optimize technology tools for instruction and offer a variety of options that may be applied as needed for your child. Please fill out the attached form and indicate whether you give permission for your student to utilize the various applications and platforms that may be used in class during the Fall term. We will use these platforms to offer instruction in core academics, in digital citizenship, and give strategies that may assist your child in using the internet safely.

Basketball Tryouts (Girls)

Basketball tryouts will be held before school on December 7th, 8th, and 9th. The doors will open at 5:45am, and tryouts will begin promptly at 6:00am, so pleased come dressed out and ready to play. Ask Coach Smith if you have any questions.
