Principal's Message
Dear Sequoia Families,
If you haven't already heard, we are doing a Read-A-Thon for the next 2 weeks! Your child should have received a document on Monday with a code that will allow them to set up their Read-A-Thon dashboard. From there they can collect donations and log reading sessions each day. The top earning upper and primary grade classroom will earn a pizza party! In addition, I have given our entire student body a goal of reading 10 million words in the next two weeks. If I know anything about Sequoia students it's that once they are given a goal, they will reach it! I'm excited to see the focus on reading these next couple weeks. The donations from this fundraiser will go toward field trips, assemblies, science, classroom/teacher requests and more! Thank you to McCall Miller and SPC for helping to set up our Read-A-Thon fundraiser. If you have questions about your dashboard or code, please email McCall Miller at maraboumccall@gmail.com
STEAM Night is tomorrow night! Various classrooms will be open with different activities such as coding, slime making, tower building, art, math games and more. STEAM Night begins at 6:00 and runs until 7:30. You can come at any time during that time and visit as many activities as you would like. Some students may want to spend all of their time in 2-3 rooms, while others will want to try them all. No pressure, all fun! We hope you will come enjoy learning with your child. (This is not a drop off event, all students should be supervised)
Our volleyball team finished their season this last weekend and did a great job! They worked hard, learned a lot and had a lot of fun! We are proud of our Sequoia Giants!
Have a good week!
