AEB Early Bird 2017-2018 Calendar

This is intended to give you a general overview of the fall semester. As more details become available, more information will be added.

June 5 through June 8

All members of AEB will review critical fundamental skills as well as learn all of the 2017 Marching Show music. All rehearsals will take place indoors.

Each day will have a social event for everyone to get to know each other...and the week will end with an exciting interactive and immersive event!

Daily Schedule

8:00am to 11:00am - Rehearsal
11:00am to 12:00pm - Lunch (on campus)
12:00pm to 2:00pm - Rehearsal
2:00pm to 4:00pm - Social Event

Marching Band Rehearsal Weekly Schedule

The weekly rehearsal schedule changes from week to week based on when Football games occur, holidays, and contests.

The best way to know what the schedule looks like is to use the band calendar on the band website and/or subscribe to the calendar. All marching band events are listed under the "AEB Main" calendar. You can select different calendars using the drop down in the upper right hand corner.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to give a static calendar that never changes...but all dates and times are updated in real time.

Football Games

The Akins Eagle Band performs at all varsity football games, home and away.

As soon as the 2017 Varsity Football schedule is released, the information will be passed along to all AEB members.

There are at least 10 regular season games (up to four of which may be on Thursday). The first game is usually the first week of school and we will have at least one bye week. So, you can plan on there being a Thursday or Friday from September 1st through November 4th.

Performances

All performances are required of all members of AEB. There are no excused absences from performances except: severe illness or death in the family.
