From the Principal's Desk

With Thanksgiving break upon us, I wanted to share my gratitude for having the privilage and honor of being Winston Campus' Principal. Since the moment I was bestowed the opportunity to lead this amazing school, I have been impressed by the effort put forth by our staff, the joy that our students experience as members of our community, and the unwavering support we receive from parents and families.

This week, our students participated in a food drive that was originally to benefit Journeys, a local shelter in our community. Because of the significant response, Journeys was not able to accept all of the donations and we were able to also donate to the Palatine Township food pantry, the food pantry at a local church, and the rest was donated in support of a local police department who was also conducting a food drive.

We know that COVID-19 has presented issues for all of our families. This Thanksgiving, we hope that our students are able to express gratitude for their families who have supported them through this, and to also consider all of the silver linings we have experienced.

This Thanksgiving, I am grateful for YOU!

Information regarding Parent-Teacher Conferences

Monday and Tuesday are parent-teacher conferences. A few weeks ago, each teacher sent out an e-mail to set up appointments. Please refer to those e-mails to see when you are scheduled to meet. Sadly, if you were not able to book at an apportment, we will not be able to accomodate you during these next two days. Please reach out to the teachers to set something up for a date in the near future.

If you are doing the conferences virtually, you should have received information about how to participate via video conferencing.

If you are coming for in-person conferences, please enter the building through Door #8 (West Entrance off Rohwling Rd - Church Lot) where a staff member will help guide you to the appropriate location.

Regardless if the conference is virtual or in-person, please be on-time (a few minutes early even), as we cannot extend individual conferences past their scheduled times.

Any questions, please reach out to Mr. Da Costa, by replying to this e-mail

Warriors Wear Masks

Per Governor Pritzker's Executive Order, all students, staff and visitors at any K-12 schools in the State of Illinois are required to wear masks.

Self-Certification

Parents and guardians, please make sure that you are screening your student(s) daily for COVID-like symptoms before sending them to school and asking the self-certification questions in the back of the lanyards. If your student or anyone in the household is experiencing any symptoms please keep them at home and have them get tested.

Chromebook Reminders

Students should be charging their Chromebooks nightly. We encourage familes to create a system that everynight at a certain hour, the student puts their Chromebook to charge as they pack their backpack for the following day.

Reporting an Absence

If your student will be absent for any reason, please give us a call on the attendance line.
