Eye of the Dragon
John Dewey Academy of Learning * December 4-8, 2017
National Railroad Museum Service Learning
This week each advisory will have an opportunity to work together during a service learning experience at the National Railroad Museum's Holiday on the Rails early learning program. While we usually encourage students to volunteer in areas that relate to their personal passions or academic pursuits, we also believe it is important to develop connections within the advisory by participating in group outings as well. The Railroad Museum is grateful for our help this week, continuing a community partnership that has lasted several years. Each advisory has been assigned one day. Students in that advisory should be dropped off at 9am and picked up at 2pm at the museum that day (or take city transit). Students who normally take hot lunch will have a bagged lunch available. If you have questions or concerns about this event, please contact me.
