Germs cause disease!
Louis Pasteur was born in 1822 in Dole, France. Louis Pasteur’s name is forever cemented in the history of medicine . He, along with Alexander Fleming , Edward Jenner, Robert Koch and Joseph Lister , is of great importance when studying medical history.
He then moves onto his fermentation studies. From these studies, Pasteur invented his technique of pasteurization, or partial sterilization. His findings from his fermentation studies also led him down the road of biology. The study of microbiology started when Pasteur proved the germ theory of disease.
