REAGAN HANACIK Reagan is always smiling as she enters class. She consistently turns in amazing work. She is always kind to her classmates and supports her entire team when in a group setting. She is responsible and reliable. She lights up the stage with her performances and she lights up the classroom with her positive energy and kindness. She embodies the true Bronco Spirit. | KOLE MARTIN Kole balances a heavy AP and Advanced Academic course work load and plays football for BJH. First period he is always on time and starts the day with a positive attitude. He is leader with his peer group. He completes his work in the top of his class and does an amazing job each and every time. Kole is an incredible friend. He has the positive attitude that nothing can stop him from his goals and dreams. He is a true Bronco. | FERNANDA QUINONEZ Fernanda is a quiet young lady but she is an incredibly diligent student. She works so hard on her course work every class period. She is committed to doing her best. She takes responsibility for her own learning. She is kind and thoughtful with her tablemates and her teachers. She works independently and asks questions when needed. Fernanda is confident, positive and a great role model for her classmates. She listens attentively and makes a solid effort to avoid distractions. Fernanda is very conscientious and shows excellent effort in her daily work. She has a strong effort to learn every day. |

JASON HOVLAND Jason is one of the hardest working students on campus. Every class period he brings his best effort and a positive attitude. He tries his hardest, even when he isn't sure of the answer. He is always so kind when he enters the classroom. He always puts forth his best effort into every assignment. Jason exceeds expectations with the quality of his work and has the best attitude. He tackles assignments in an organized manner and uses class time wisely. He has a great speaking voice and is a great writer! | DUONG NGUYEN Duong is such a great student. She comes to class each day smiling and prepared to work. She is on task throughout class and really pushes herself to do her best. She has a great sense of humor and works well with other students. She is a great example of what a Bronco should be. | ANDREW DAVIS Andrew is a model student at BJH. He comes to class each day prepared to work with a smile on his face. He works hard to complete his assignments and stays on task the entire period. He is kind and thoughtful with his teachers and other students. Thank you Andrew for showing everyone what a Bronco should be. |

BIOLOGY CLASSES LEARN ABOUT HYPERTONIC, HYPOTONIC, AND ISOTONIC SOLUTIONS WITH MODELING AND ACTING

Mrs. Shaw, Mrs. Prather and Mrs Locke use the hallways as a gallery walk for students to determine if a dilation is an enlargement or reduction. They also have to find the scale factor!

EXAM EXEMPTION POLICY
HEB ISD recently published information on Exam Exemptions for Junior High and High school students. Please reference the document link below for criteria to earn an Exam Exemption.
More recently an additional clarification was provided in regard to absences: Covid absences will not count towards the exam exemption attendance requirement so long as the student completes the proper reporting process by completing the online form.

Retakes are on Thursday, September 29 during lunches. Remember these photos are used for the yearbook and IDs. The only opportunity for retakes are on September 29.

UPCOMING EVENTS
PARIS TRIP AVAILABLE TO BJH STUDENTS.
Bedford JH, Harwood JH, and Bell HS are going to Paris and the south of France in June! Students must be enrolled in 8th grade or a higher level to attend. There is an informational meeting Thursday, September 8th at 6 pm in the BJH library. Please use the link below to RSVP so that Dr. Santamaria can make sure there is enough seating available.

TO ALL HEB ISD PARENTS AND FAMILIES
HEB ISD issues electronic devices to all students. If a device issued to a student is damaged or lost, the student's parent or guardian may be responsible for replacement or repair costs, in accordance with the HEB ISD Technology Student/Parent Device Agreement.
HEB ISD provides an opportunity for parents to purchase voluntary student device insurance through School Device Coverage. Participation in this insurance program is strictly voluntary. For more information, use the website link below or download the device insurance PDF below.
It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to return the completed enrollment form and premium payment directly to the insurance company. Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD will not collect forms or payments for this coverage.

- Doors open for all students 8:00 am
- School Begins at 8:20 am
- School Ends at 3:35 pm

BJH DROP OFF/PICK UP INFORMATION
Front Circle Drive: Two lanes of traffic for loading and unloading, parking is only allowed in the outside lane closest to Carolyn Dr. Please watch for students in crosswalk.
West Parking Lot: Lane closest to the school is reserved for buses. Please pull down the middle lane to drop your student off by the gym.

• The USDA waiver for FREE meals expired June 30th, 2022
• All students must have an application on file by September 21, 2022 or be Directly Certified by the state to receive meal benefits (free or reduced price meals). As of September 22, 2022, students without an application on file will be charged full price for their meals.

• Our charge policy allows students to charge meals for two (2) weeks before they are provided an Alternate Meal. Lunch consist of Cold Cheese Sandwich and Unflavored Milk and Toast and
Unflavored Milk for Breakfast.
