Taft Families
It has been great to see our students back on campus. I appreciate your patience as we continue to work through our construction project. We hope to be able to open up the main drop off/pick up lanes at the front of the school as soon as possible to alleviate the after school traffic. Construction on the campus should be complete by September 17th. Our enrollment this year is approximately 2700 with both Taft and Communications Arts students. We are implementing one directional hallways and stairwells for the safety of all. This week we held student assemblies to ensure our students are aware of all stairwells available to them on the campus. The assemblies also covered items such as, securing lockers, receiving ID cards, transportation information and much more. I thank you once again for your patience and understanding these past 2 weeks.
Respectfully,
Marti Fernandez
Principal

covid updates
I will be sending out a weekly letter that will communicate positive COVID cases of individuals who have been on our campus. We are sanitizing classrooms, cafeteria, locker rooms and high traffic areas on a daily basis. As always student and staff safety is our number one priority. Please know that contact tracing is done each time there is a positive case and students and staff who are deemed in close contact for each case are notified immediately.
