The Intersession committee has been working for the last 6-9 months on intervention and enrichment and we're very excited about the offerings for our kids! Thank you for your help!

LINKS Picnic Table
With funds raised at a garage sale last year, OMS Link, Cierra Swope built a picnic table for the middle school courtyard. Her dad helped her a bit with cuts, but this was primarily her work that she was also doing to earn her silver award for girl scouts. She has been a LINK from the start and stenciled their phrase on the top of the table "Believe There is Good in the World". This is also the phrase on their Links t-shirts. Students have been enjoying it!
HS Hosts Short-Term Exchange Program
Twelve students and a teacher from Malaga, Spain spent three weeks at OHS and with local host families. The special program, run through FLAG, offers the students and families a glimpse of the exchange program and a shorter time to experience our country. The students went to class with student ambassadors and also took several field trips to see more of the USA. They went to Chicago, toured WMU, Gull Meadow Farms and the Allegan County Fair! They also took a trip to Tanger and had a final fairwell get together at Rollerworld. Each student also had great trips with their host families.
