SFCS celebrates 26 Years of Growing Together in Faith & Knowledge
Dear SFCS Parents & Friends,
I hope everyone enjoyed having Friday off as our faculty participated in an all-day Diocesan Teacher Education Conference. The faculty and staff began their morning with Mass, celebrated by Father Christopher, and then enjoyed breakfast together. Our sessions went throughout the day but in between we gathered for lunch. It was a wonderful opportunity for prayer, fellowship, and learning.
Today your student will be receiving an envelope to bring home as part of the National Child Identification Program. This identification kit is to be used as a safety measure and kept in a safe place at home. The kit is intended to be used, if ever needed, when working with authorities, to provide information and help reunite a missing child with their family. If you would like additional kits, please contact the School Office.
We invite you to attend our weekly School Mass on Wednesday. Please remember that parents, family, and friends should sit on the left side of the Church (Mary's side).
Wishing you a peace-filled week of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
Andrea Smith, M.Ed., LPC, NCC

In an effort to consolidate communication, and have one central Facebook page for SFCS families to find announcements and learn about upcoming school events, the "St. Francis Families (St. Francis Catholic School, Hilton Head Island)" Facebook page is now inactive. As a reminder, the use of St. Francis Catholic School, or St. Francis by the Sea names, logos, etc., must be approved before associating any group with either name or SFCS. Kindergarten celebrates Dr. Seuss!
Kindergarten had a literacy inspired week, celebrating Dr. Seuss and his birthday. The students learned through many fun-filled activities centered around the author and enjoyed a plate of "green eggs and ham".
1st Grade - STEM Challenge
The first-grade students completed a STEM challenge making towers from solo cups and card stock. What creative thinkers we have as evident by the different towers they built! Way to go first grade!
The students started their time at Bake Club by eating freshly made pasta. Our friends, Joy Bott and Terri Grieco, showed the students how to make perfect pasta dough from scratch! All bakers went home with freshly made pasta to share with their family!
Basketball Development Program🏀
This past Saturday was the last day for the SFCS Basketball Development Program which was coordinated by Coach Weaver. Thank you to Coach Weaver, the middle school students, and the volunteers who assisted with this year's program. We hope all the students learned new skills and continued to work on the skills they already knew. We look forward to next year's program!
