All About the Wescott Library
2020-2021
Welcome Back
Library Services this Fall
- Once we work out the logistics, students will begin putting books on hold through the library Destiny catalog. Books will be checked out to students and then delivered to the classroom.
- For now, 1st and 2nd-grade students will pick books from a cart we bring to their classrooms each week.
- Based on the results of a study by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, materials need to be quarantined for a minimum of 5 days before they can circulate again (even if they are touched briefly they need to be in quarantine). This means it will take longer for students to receive their books.
- Books may be returned as students walk in the door to Wescott each morning. A box will be placed in the foyer for book returns.
- Services for remote students: Please click here for all of the details!
PLEASE NOTE:
- Our turnaround time is going to be slow, especially at first. We need to figure out the logistics AND be safe at the same time.
If you would like to help your students select books for check out, visit the catalog here.
OVERDUE NOTICES
Once books are returned they will be placed in quarantine for 1 week before they may be checked in by us and checked out again by another student. If you receive an overdue notice during the quarantine period, please disregard it.

Wescott Students Rocked Summer Reading!
This summer reading success is due in large part to our strong relationship with the Northbrook Public Library. We are so grateful for Ms. Sarah, the school outreach librarian!
The Northbrook Public Library is Here for You at Home and at School!
