"A School of Excellence"
I am excited about us starting School Based-Instructional Rounds at Spaulding Middle School. The Instructional Rounds, should give us useful information about teaching practices here at SMS. It is also an opportunity for us to assess our standing in regard to accomplishing our Vision which is a follows:
“In collaboration with our families and community, we will create a culture of excellence. Faculty and staff will work diligently to ensure that the highest level of standards and exceptional practices are highly evident.”
This week , Thirty Beta Club students will travel to Myrtle Beach for the Annual South Carolina Junior Beta Convention. They will leave this Wednesday and will return on Friday evening. Thank you Ms. Grooms and Ms. Tomlinson for coordinating this awesome experience for the students and for all of your work preparing them for the various events and competitions in which they will participate. The theme this year is "Let the Beta Times Roll." (Excellence in Action)!
Our Academic Challenge team will travel to East Clarendon for their first match of the season. The team has been working very hard preparing for possible questions covering subjects ranging from math and science to arts and humanities. Good luck Ms. Washington and the AC Team! ( Excellence in Action)!
Ms. Taylor will facilitate PLC Sessions on Tuesday during planning. There is a lot on the agenda. Therefore, please be on time and bring your MacBook. She will send out the agenda before the end of the day today.
Congratulations to Mr. Clarence Dubose for being this month's Teacher Feature. Students had great things to say about Mr. Dubose.
