A Message from the Principal
Hello, Pinto families.
You recently received an email from me with the order form for picture day. The link is below if you need it.
The website for ordering the Pinto Gear has been extended to Monday, October 18! The link for ordering is below.
We will be holding Fall parties on Friday, October 29. Due to our restrictions with visitors this year, each classroom will have assistance from 1 or 2 parents, and our PTA is assisting with getting these volunteers. I'm excited to announce that our annual parade is back! All costumes must be school appropriate with no toy weapons of any kind, blood/gore, or make up. The parade will begin at 3:30. You are welcome to watch from outside only. Please see the parade route map below to assist you in selecting a good location. We have some special seating for parents of our Early Childhood students, as these students will follow a shorter parade route. After the parade, students can be dismissed to you from the classroom. Please everyone, bring extra patience during dismissal on that day. It will be a bit crowded in our parking lot.
As a reminder, if you are picking your child up early, you must come to the door and sign your child out. We cannot bring them to your vehicle.
If you were not able to sign up for parent-teacher conferences, your child's teacher will be reaching out to you to set one up. These conferences are an important part of the parent/guardian and school communication. We are looking forward to 100% participation!

Face Coverings
Health and safety is our priority. To protect students, staff and families, our district updated face covering requirements for the start of the 2021-22 school year. Students, staff and visitors must wear a face covering while inside our school. We care about our students, and we can work together to limit the spread of COVID-19. Our school will have face coverings available for those who need them.
Building Security
For the safety and security of our students and this building, we are asking that any parent visitor make an appointment prior to entering the building. We will continue to limit outside visitors due to Health & Safety Protocols.
Picotte Spirit Days
The last student day of every week is Spirit Day! Students and staff show their Pinto Pride by wearing Picotte gear or colors. In addition to the new gear currently for sale, we have a few gray t-shirts left for $10.00 each. Contact the office to be sure we have your size. Check should be made out to Picotte PTA. We will offer additional gear that can be ordered on-line later this fall.

OPS EC (Early Childhood) Drop Off
If you are the parent of an OPS Early Childhood student and drop your child off in the morning, you must exit your child on the sidewalk (passenger) side. When students get out on the driver's side, it is not safe for them, you, or the drivers who are coming around you for the K-4 dismissal zones.
