Articles of the Confederation
This is Americas Constitution, and was written by the founding fathers. This was weak because they were worried another king like king George would happen.
Strengths of the Articles of the Confederation
This Article had a few strengths and accomplishments. First, this Governed the nation during the Revolutionary War. Negotiated the Treaty of Paris. Finally it made the land land ordinance of 1785, and the Northwest Ordinance of 1787
Weaknesses of the Articles of the Confedrations
There were many weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation. The congress had no power to coin money, or make money. They were also unable to regulate interstate (existed or carried between state) or foreign buying or selling. Also 9 of the 13 sates had to approve a law before it is allowed to be passed.
North West Ordinance of 1787
The Continental Congress created the North West Ordinance on July 13 1787. This created the Northwest territory and it established a Government for the North West. This provided for the creation of three to five states.
Shays Rebellion
Shays Rebellion was a series of protest by american farmers against tax collection and judgements for debt. This threatened more famers in Massachusetts because taxes threatened them loosing their farms.
