What is the Quartering act.?
The quartering act is a name given to a minimum of two Acts of British Parliament in the local governments of the American colonies to provide the British soldiers with any needed accommodations or housing.
Why did it happened.?
The Quartering act happened because the outlining the locations and conditions in which British soldiers are to find room and board in the American colonies.It happened in 1765.
The Colonial Reaction
The reaction of the colonist was largely negative and was rooted in two issues. Many colonists were beginning to move onto land west of the Appalachian Mountains.This upset many native Americans.The colonists were moving onto there land.
