- pay attention to your surroundings
- do not leave valuables in the car
- have your keys ready when you exit buildings

Misbehavior: An opportunity to learn....
No matter how well you organize your classroom and teach your expectations, some misbehavior is still bound to occur. View misbehavior as an opportunity to help students learn. This viewpoint will help you respond to the misbehavior effectively.
Most chronic misbehavior serves a purpose for the student. Because there are many reasons why students misbehave, corrections for specific misbehaviors are more effective when they address the underlying cause of the misbehavior. Misbehavior may be due to lack of awareness, lack of ability or skill, attention seeking, or habitual behavior. The diagram below may help you with a framework for designing effective interventions.

- Actively monitor during wellness to limit injuries and skirmishes
- Limit classrooms eating lunches in classrooms, this brings critters
- Throw away empty food containers in the lounge whenever possible
