LEO's CLUB TOY DRIVE
Hello Mountain Families,
This holiday season, the C.T. Leo’s Club, a group of community-minded middle school volunteers, are collaborating with Loma’s Student Council and Toys for Tots to do a toy drive! We’d love you to participate by bringing your toys to our drop off boxes at the C.T. and Loma offices anytime between December 6th and December 19th. Per Toys for Tots policy, toys must be unused, unwrapped, and in their original packaging. These toys will go to families in need in our community.
Thank you for helping bring Christmas cheer to families all around the mountain!

Updated COVID Decision Tree (11/15/2022)
Cold and Flu Season
Consider keeping your child at home for an extra day of rest and observation if he or she has any of the following symptoms:
- Very stuffy or runny nose and/or cough
- Mild sore throat (no fever, no known exposure to strep)
- Headache
- Stomach ache
Definitely keep your child at home for treatment and observation if he or she has any of these symptoms:
- Fever (greater than 100 degrees and your child may return to school only after his or her temperature has been consistently below 100 degrees, by mouth, for a minimum of 24 hours)
- Vomiting (even once)
- Diarrhea
- Chills
- General malaise or feelings of fatigue, discomfort, weakness or muscle aches
- Frequently congested (wet) or croupy cough
Our custodians disinfect common touch points on a regular basis and ensure that there is soap and hand sanitizer in dispensers. Please also take the time to review this flu guide for parents from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).”
The health and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. Thank you in advance for helping make this year at school as healthy as possible.
LGHS Freshmen Enrollment 2023-24
Welcome Future Wildcats!
Dear families of incoming 8th grade students,
Los Gatos High School pre-enrollment for the 2023-24 school year is available for you starting November 16th, 2022. Los Gatos HS is part of the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District, LGSUHSD.
The high school enrollment is completely online. A parent or guardian will provide information and upload required documents to the LGSUHSD enrollment system. The instructions are here:
https://lghs.net/guidance_home/enrollment__registration/new_student_enrollment
You do not need to submit copies of the student immunization or grades. Fisher and CT English Middle Schools will provide those records to Los Gatos HS in the Summer.
Please complete the online enrollment process by no later than December 9, 2022. Parents are encouraged to meet this deadline so your child's 9th grade enrollment is not delayed and so you may receive the communications from Los Gatos High School in January 2023 regarding course selection for next year.
Please note that middle school staff cannot answer questions about Los Gatos High School enrollment. All questions should be addressed to:

NO Summit Store On Fridays
Parents and Students-
As you are aware, students are NOT allowed to be at the Summit Store unsupervised (without a parent), especially on Fridays.
In December, the district administration will be discussing with the store owners on how to safely and collectively reinstate this long standing Friday tradition.
In the meantime, please talk with your child (and their friends) about what the expected behavior is when interacting with summit store staff and patrons.
Thanks for your partnership.
Please remind your child that they MUST cross using the bridge and not to run across Summit Road.
Short-Term Independent Study Reminder

BUSES
We encourage you to consider using our school buses to transport your child to and from school to reduce the campus traffic and increase our parking lot safety. Bus pass information is available in both school offices.
Peanut Free School District
We are a PEANUT FREE school district. Please do not send your child to school with peanuts or other peanut products including peanut butter.
We do have some classrooms with students who have life threatening allergies to other nuts. If your child has peers in their classroom with allergies to other nuts, your child’s teacher will inform you that your child’s classroom is a nut free space.
Loma Dismissal Reminders
Kindergarten dismisses each day at 1:30pm, except on minimum days where students are dismissed at 12:30pm. We will communicate with you when a minimum day occurs.
1st-8th graders are dismissed at 2:45pm, except for Wednesdays where students are dismissed at 1:30pm.
